The 2012 Winter Musical will be CABARET.

This well-known Kander & Ebb musical returns to the Inserra Theater.  Both a musical masterpiece and an edgy political commentary, it has long been considered one of the greatest musicals of the 20th century.  Set in Depression-era Berlin as the Nazis are rising to power, it depicts nightlife at the seedy Kit Kat Klub and the intertwined stories of Clifford Bradshaw, an American writer, Sally Bowles, an English singer and dancer, and the denizens of Berlin who are caught in a tumultuously changing society, all under the decadently watchful eye of the Klub’s Master of Ceremonies.  Songs include “Willkommen”, “Don’t Tell Mama”, “The Money Song”, “Maybe This Time”, and “Cabaret”.
